METEOROLOGICAL.
By.Telegraph—Press Association. WELLINGTON, December 20. The following is Kev. D. C. Bates' summary and forecast: —Barometer pressure has continued high and fairly steady and moderate southerly winds have prevailed. The present indications are for atreshening northerlies witK a falling barometer everywhere, and especially in the Southern districts, where unsettled weather may soon be expected. Warm and humid conditions are probable generally with hazy and cloudy weather- Rain is probable soon on the We3t Coast and Southern districts of the South Island.!
