N.Z. LOAN AND MERCANTILE AGENCY.

•> The Wellington office of the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., has received the following cablegram from the firm's London holise, - under date December 9th : "The annual meeting passed off satisfactorily. The report and balance sheet were adopted, and a dividend declared at the rate of five per cent, per annum, less income tax, for year ended June 30th, 1909." The annual report and balance sheet provides fur a dividend o* five per cent, after transferring £55,000 out of profits to reserve, raising the Company's total reserves to £455,000. The New Zealand Land Association, Ltd., (the shares in which are held by tbe New Zea land Loan and Mercantile Agency Company), likewise pays t dividend at the rate of five per cent, per annum. The reserve of the Association stands at £85,000.
