. • From Our Resident Reporter. Thursday. Mr P. Molloy will le£(fe here tomorrow to take up the dutiesjjgf railway signalman at Kopua, Hawke's Bay. The fortnightly meeting of Lo'yal Heart of Uak Lodge, 1.0.0. F., M.U.," •was held in the Foresters' Hall last evening, Bro. R. Butler, N.G., presiding. A sum of £2 2s was granted towards the raflway guarantee in connection with the United Friendly Societies' Picnic, to be held at Pigeon Bush on Boxing Day. Bro. W. Robinson, on behalf of Mrs D. Thomas, presented the Lodge with a photographfof the late Bro. Thomas, and the Secretary was authorised to forward a letter of thanks to her for the gift. Bro. J. Fensham was nominated for the office of N.G. for the ensuing term, Bro. C. Lamb V.G., and Bro. R. Tucker R.S.N.G. Notice of motion was given to move that Dr. Smyth be elected a surgeon of the Lodge. Four friends were proposed for membership, and two initiated into the order by Bro. C. J. De Lacey, G.M. The receipts for the meeting amounted to £9 18s, and disbursements £lO 19s 4d.
