Midsummer weather prevailed for the opening day of the .Woodville District Jockey Club's summer meeting, and the attendance was large. Interesting racing was witnessed. The sum of £6,611 was passed through the totalisator, against £7,820 last year, and ten bookmakers were licensed, nine inside and one outside, the fees amounting to £195.
