HANDSOME BEQUESTS.
By Telegraph—Press CHRISTCHURCH, December 8. The late Mrs White's estate was sworn at £50,000. She left £2,000 tJ ouild a Roman Catholic Church at Sumner, £3OO to the Roman Cathwlic Fund, and £IOO to other religious purposes. Annuities amounting' to £1,700 were left to, her children and sister. The residue of the estate was devoted to an orphanage undar the opntro! of the Roman OatholicCburcn, but not for Roman Catholic children only. The income of ttie residue will be increased by accumulations durii g the next five or six years. Tha actual value of the estate las not been de» finitely settled.
