A SUPERANNUATION SCHEME.

A superannuation scheme has-been arranged for the masters, officers and engineers, in the employ of the Union Steamship Company* The directors have decided to subsidise the scheme to the extent of i 20,000, namely, £IO,OOO cash, and £I,OOO annually f>r ten .\ears. Trustees have besn a pointed as fellows:—Caot ins D. J. Watson and A. Wallis, representing the deck officprs; A. R. and H. S. Baldwin, representing the engineers j and C. Houldsworth and T. Whitson, reprcosnting th j Union Company.
The age of retirem nt for men who have been ten years or more in the Company's service is to be 63 years.
