RIFLE SHOOTING.
CADET MEETING AT WANGANUI. By Telegraph—Prjss Association, WANGANUI. December 6. Two hundred and ten cadats and twenty-six teams, representing twenty-six schools throughout the Dominion, fired in champion cadet belt and champion team shield and medals matches conducted by the Wanganui National Defence League. Cadet Morgan, of Onehunga, made the possible (50), and firing two extra shots he got two more hull's eyes, making twelve consecutive bulls. He becomes champion cadet shot of New Zealand. Spurdle (Wai - ganui), Wooding (Gera'dint), Macdonald (Ashburton), Sontai? (Dunedin), Fountain 'Port Chalmers), and Black (Woodville) each made 47. The Woodville team with 354 came first in the Teams Shield matches, the places being filled by Geraldine 346, and Onehunga 340. The belt winner is a member of the same company as Sergeant Friar, who last year shot so brilliantly, in England, for the Lord Roberts trophy.
