PREMIER ENTERTAINED.

Sir Joseph Ward was entertained at luncheon by the members of the Legislative Council in honour of his proposed New Zealand gift of a Dreadnought to the Imperial navy and his services in connection with defence.
His Excellency the Governor was among those present. The only member of the Legislative Council who refused to attend was the Hon. Paul, of Dunedin.
