AN ASHBURTON CASE. By Telegraph—Press Association. ASHBURTON, December 3. James Lorgelly. hotelkeeper, of Methven, in the Selwyn Licensing District, was to-day found guilty of soliciting an order for liquor on the Ashburton racecourse. The case arose out of a sly grog case heard a fortnight ago, when Lorgelly gave evidence which led to his own conviction to-day.
WELLINGTON OFFENCES. By Telegraph—Press Association. WELLINGTON, December 3. Alexander Lindsay was to-day fined £lO for siy grog selling, and Alexander McLeod was sentenced to six weeks' imprisonment for a similar offence.
