METEOROLOGICAL
By Telegraph—Press Association. ' WELLINGTON, December 3. The following is Rev. D. C. Bates' summary and forceast:—The weather has been very changeable and somewhat sultry. Moderate to strong easterly winds have prevailed over the North Island, and northerly in the South, though on the East Coast strong southerlies have prevailed to-day. This disturbance, which has passed over the South, will be followed by a storm area now advancing over the Tasman Sea, which will probably envelop the whole country by Sunday evening. Northerly winds strong to gale, cloudy and unsettled weather with rain are soon probable everywhere. Mr J. 0. Boddington reports that the rainfall registered at the Upper Plain for the 24 hours preceding 9 a.m. on Thursday was 5 points.
