RIVALS v, CARTERTON. The Rivals and Carterton teams met on the Park Ovuljyesterday afternoon. Rivals compiled 102 in their first innings, andjjt the call of time Carterton had six wickets down for 210. Ibbetson 35 was, top scorer for Rivals, while Hooper 17, Sutton 13 and Edwards 13 aiso reached double figures. For Curterton, Smart compiled 97 by good cricket, giving one chance. His score included thirteen 4's, four 3's, five 2's, and 23 singles. J. Laurenson (68) also played a good innings, included in which y/pre nine boundaries. Muunsell 16 and Hart 12 also reached double figures. F. Fairbrother and Maun.sell were the most successful Carterton bowlers, while Waters and Hooper took the wickets for Rivals.
