MASTERTON MAILS.
NEW TIME TABLE. Through the courtesy of Mr S. Inder, Postmaster at Masterton, we are able to publish a list showing the times of departure and arrival at the Masterton Post Office of all train mails after the 6th inst. The principal changes necessitated by the alteration of the railway time table areas follow: —
OUTGOING. The early mails north, which previously closed at 5.3U a.m., and the south at 6.15 a.m.. will not close until 6.45 a.m. Auckland and Mai i Trunk mails, which previously closed at 9 a.m., will close at 6.45 a.m. (a second mail for Main Trunk and Auckland, connecting with the second express, will close here at 5 P m-) The mails for North by the 11.43 a.m. train will now close at 11 a.m. instead of at 11.15 a.m. as previous ly, andmails for Wellington, intermediate offices and South Island will close at 11 a.m., reaching Wellington 5.25 p.m. The mail for South, p-eviously closing at 2.30 p.m., will close it 3.5 p.m., and will be the last despatch for the day for Wellington and intermediate offices.
The mails previously closing for North at 9 a.m. and at 2.30 p.m. are to be discontinued, and a mail for North will now be despatched at 5 p.m., which, as previously stated, will include correspondence for Main Trunk during the running of the extra express.
The only difference in the Napier mails is that the second mail closes at 5 p.m. instead of at 2.30 p.m. as previously.
INCOMING. The mails from Wellington and intemediate Offices, Napier and intermediate offices, which previously arrived at 10 a.m., are now discontinued. Mails will arrive at noon from all parts of the Dominion. Maih from Wellington and intermediate offices will arrive at 8.15 p.m., instead of at 8.45 p.m. At 4 p.m. mails'will arrive from Napier, Wanganui, Ohakune, and all intermediate offices; and at 10 p.m. from all places North, including Taranaki and Auckland.
