RADICALS AND THE LAND BILL.
There was another [meeting Of Radical members on Tuesday to <onsider what altitude they should adopt in connection with the Land Bil'. Itwasagiead that if these features of the Bill, which are objectionable 1 to believers in the leasehold are not eliminated, it should be opposed clause by clause by the exercise of ful),gfree and fair criticism. It is reported that requests - have been received by some of the Radical membeis to address meetings on the Land Bill at Auckland, Taihape, Petone and Palmerston North. According to a prominent Radical, the leaseholders on the Government side feei very sore with reference to the land proposals. To support the Bill as it stands would make the Radicals look very small in the eyes of their constituents. He avers that there is not the slightest chaoce of the Bill passing in its present form this session.
