RACING.

FEiLDING RACES. By Telegraph—Press Association, FEILDING, November 30. The weather was fine for the first day of the Feilding Spring Meeting. There were big fields and good racing Results:— Flying Stakes, six furlongs.—Equitas 7.9, 1, JLongner 8.9, 2; Sir Antrim 7.2, 3. Also strated.—lrish Rifle, Sharpshooter, Mon Ami, Truganini, Miss Winnie, Vi, Nyland, Bliss, Merchantman, .Nicotine. A fail ly good start, Nicotine losing a couple of lengths. Miss Winnie was first to show out, but was soon supplanted by Bliss, who led round to the bend, followed by Equitas. la the run for home Equitas raced to the front, and won comfortably by two lengths. Time, linin 15sec. Aorangi Hack Welter, seven furlongs.—Captain Bell 8.12, 1; Chauvelin 8.4, 2; Midian 8.8, 3. Also starte-?.—Miscast. Sublime, King's Prize, Astraea, Marathon. Tetane, Guiding Step, Parable, Rangikura, Envoy, Silva, West, East Wind, Arcadia, Matukawa. Captain Bell was first to show out, from a straggling start. Running down the back Captain Bell was a length ahead of Chauvelin. The latter passed the leader when well in the straight, but opposite the stand Captain Bell responded gamely and landed the stake by a neck. Time, lmin 31J

sec, St. Andrew's Handicap, one mile and a half.—Taskmaster 8.0, 1; Roosevelt 8.5, 2; Bismark 6.7, 3. Also started Lady Lucy, Mendip, Waitapu, Bourrasque, and Compass A good start saw Mendip shoot to the front, and passing the stand lie was showing clear from Roosevelt. Going out of the straight Mendip steadied down. Roosevelt and Bismark then took the lead, Lady Lucy whipping the fic-U. At the feur furlongs post Taskmaster ran into third place, but joined the leaders on entering tha straight. In the run home he won comfortably from Roosevellt, Bismark being third.

Spring Hurdles, ab'jut two milea. Reumac. 9.5, 1: Whatakura 10.0, 2; Whimper 9.5, i(. Also started.—Ty ■ rannic, Maidi, Gold Dust, Xavier, Belario, Feu de Joie, Papakura. Reumac was first over the hurdle oppos ite the stand, and led to the seven furlong post. Here Tyrannic went to the front, and led the field for the next half mile. Reumac again took closely followed by Whatakura. Whatakura out jumped Reumac

. at the last hurdle, and led to within J a few yards of the post. A ding dong I finish saw Reumac Jthe winner by a short neck. Time, 4min. Waituna Hack, Hurdles.—Moose 9.2, 1; Pearl Reef 9.8, 2; Polyanthus 11.J3, 3. Also started.—Don Carlos, Genuine, Master Paul, Linn Finn. Genuine and Master Paul got by themselves for over a mile, Don Carlos running third. Rounding the bend Genuine cried enough. Moose headed Master Paul at the last fence. Moose then made a faulty jump, and Pearl Reef got in front. Pritchard got going again on Moose, and crossed on the rails slightly interfering w:th Fearl Reef. Won by two lengths. Time, 2min 48-ssec. A protest was lodgei against the winner for interference. After a short deliberation the stewards sustained the protest, and awarded the race to Pearl Reef. Fourth Feilding Stakes, five furlongs.—Lord Soult 8.12, 1; Lord Kejlvin 6.6, 2; Broadsword 85, 3. Also started—Gold Crest, Longner,. Tenterhook, Ormulu, True Shot,, Kohinnor. The race was robbed of all interest by Lord Soult getting a big break on the field and leading all th.e way. Time, lmin 13 1-Ksee. Kiwitea Welter, one mile.—Flin—got 8.13, ]; Paisano 9.9, 2; Tiptoe 9.7, 3. Also started.—Osiris, San' Fernando, Strategist, Full Sail, Bridge, Cyrene, Diamond Star, Waipunui, Retormist. ,A splendid start. Cvrene and Paisano weru out in> front tili entering the straight. Here Filngot came up and won by ha. c a length. Time, xnuu 45sec.

j Fitzroy Hack Flying, sixfurlonga —Royal Marine 8,?, 1; Magneto 2,. j Shannon Lass 3. Also started. —Golden Loop, Toanga, Idealism, Dervish, Leahora. Singer, Amphianser, Nukuhau, Bravery, Handsome Maid. A poor start, Golden Loop being left at the post. Royal Marine won by threequarters of a length. Thirteen "bookies" were inside and nine outside. The totahsator receipts showed a considerable faliLng: off from last year.
