LIVING FILTERS. -

The kidneys are situated in the small of the back, one on each 'side ai : the spine. Haitian kidneys are Similar in shape to those of a sheep, intt somewhat larger. They are encased in fat, and are supplied with arteries which convey blood to them from the "heart.
