Ic ia prbable that he will be taken up again in the Autumn and prepared f r steeplechase events. - At Tauherenikau, H. Fletcher i s handling a three-year-old full sister to Mataari. She is a neatly shaped brown, showing plenty of power and a fair amount of quality. Tne horses in training at this' stahle are Silken Rem. Aboriginal, Purakau, Gold Bird, and bwallow. The lalt°r has furnished ctnsirlerably during the past few wenks. Gold Bird is to be schooled for hurdle racing. A Greytown sportsman has purchased from the breeder at Martinborough a full sister to Royal Maid by Knight Errant Guncast. She. is at present heing broken in and will not be put into work for some months.
Full Cry made his re-appearance at Dannevirke on Thursday after a lengthy holiday occasioned by a Wellington Racing Club disqualification. He ran poorly and h backward in condition. After his good showing in the Hurdle race on the first day, Stayboy was made favourite for the Oringi Welter on the second day. This was an error of judgment on the part of backers as horses do rot as a rule race successfully over hurdles and on the fiat at the one meeting. I. FreetH, the veteran trainer, at Tauherenikau, is handling a nice stamp of a colt by Knight Errant Sunfish

A friend suggested Warlock as worth a mod st investment on either day, and wheti the Hack Scurry came up for decision he suddenly remembered the tip, and on w( nt a pound on Tray lock. The latter name he had mistaken for that of Warlock, and-he was rewarded,with the best dividend of the meeting when Travlock prove! victorious.
