A CHANGE REQUIRED.
The Court sub-district of Whareama has its Court sitting at Te Nui, and the fact that Whareama and Te Nui are ten miles distant from each other causes no little contusion in the despatch of Court business. Litigants have more than once atten ed at Whareama, which place is specified in the summons as the place the Court is held. Another evil arising from the same cause is that documents, books, etc.. addressed to the local Court officer often go to Whareama, and on one occasion the whole six volumes of the consolidated Statutes, sold by the Government at £lO, were deposited on the Whareama roadside, with the result that the precious works were almost co m pletely ruined by an expusura to wintry weather uf several days. The remedy for ' this state of things is very simple, and consists of the mere alteration of the title of the subdistrict from "Whareama Court" to "le Nui Court."
