Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd, report on Palmerston North sale to-day as follows:—A fair entry of aheep met with keen compaction and lota sold readily under the hammer. All classes of cattle also sold weil, and a good clearance was effected. We quote Forward wethers 16a; mixed hoggets 13s; ewes and lambs, all counted, I6s sd; ewes with lambs given in, 16s 7d; forward ewes 10s; cull hoggets 7s 9d2 tooth shorn ewes 12b; 2 tooth shorn wethers 10s; shorn forward ewes 8s 7d; year bullocks £5 6s 6d; yearling steers 38s 6d> £2 10s; 18 months heifers £2 4s; 3 year empty heifers £3 5s 6d; fat cows, £4 4s 6d to £4 16s; forward cowk £2 10s to £3 17s 6d; springing heifers £3 10s; to £5 13s.
