the steinheil murders. joy over pkisuner's acquittal. exciting scenes in the STREETS. Keceived November 16, 8.25 a.m. PARIS, November 15. The leading Parisian newspapers kept motor cars outside the court in order to bring them newa of the result of the Steinheil murder trial. When the verdict was announced the car 3 raced through the streets, journalists and chaffeurs wildly shouting the news of Madame Stein heil's acquittal. Men and women in the Montmartre cafes danced and kissed each other. A state of semi-delirium .prevailed, resembling "Mafeking night'* in London a few years ago. The pent-up emotion in the court resulted in a ruar of "Kravos. "■ Barristers threw up their caps and climbed on to the benches, waving their handkerchiefs. The jury acquitted Madame Steinheil by nine votes to three.
