Mr Munro, Stock Inspector for the Fahiatua district, and who resides at Woodvilie, has been tranaerred to Wanganui. The friends of Mrs B. Hoffman, of Upper Plain, will regret to learn that she is seriously ill, suffering from a paralytic stroke. The death occurred early yesterday 'morning of Mr J. B. Innes, a well known bookseller, of Wellington, wbo was formerly in business in Masterton. * A Press Association telegram from Hokitika states that Mr Frederick Henne, an old resident of the Stafford dtetiict, died on Wednesday night, after a protracted illness. C. Cooper, managing director of the Farmers' Meat Company, • who was called to Auckland some days ago on acount of the serious illness of his son, returned lo Masterton yesterday. F. W. G. McLeod. will leave -Masterton this morninorfor Welling* ton, where he will catch the boat for Sydney, which sails at 5 o'clock this evening.
