CEMENT WORKS DESTROYED,
HUNDRED EMPLOYEES THROWN OUT OF WORK

The Portland Cement Company's works at Brighton have been destroyed by fire. The damage is esti mated at from £15,000 to £20,000 of which £12,000 is covered by insurance.
A hundred employees have been thrown out of work.
