LLOYD'S SHIPPING RETURNS.
FALLING OFF IN TONNAGE. Received November 5, 8.35 a.m. LONDON, November 4. Lloyds Register of Shipping report shows that the vessels which Lloyd's classified in 1908-1909 totalled 854,984 tons, as compared with 1,484,722 in 1906-1907. The total tonnage under construction in June last in Britain was only 53 per cent, of the amount of building in I*o6.
