NATAL POLITICS.
THE BUDGET. TAXES REDUCED BY ONE HALF, Received. November 5 r 8.5 a.m. , DURBAN, November 4. The Hon. A. Oliff, Treasurer, delivered his Budget statement in the Natal Assembly. He announced that the income and land taxes would be reduced one half. The outlook, was declared to be most hopeful, A Bill authorising; the Natal Government to purchase or expropriate suitable land for the purpose of settlement was rejected by the Speaker's casting vote.
