MANAWATU SHOW.

Glorious weather prevailed for the second day's show, and a large attendance, including the Governor and party and many members of Parliament. Sheep, cattle and horses were judged to-day. In sheep the exhibition of Lincoins and Romhey Marsh were equal to anything seen in the Dominion for years Mr W. Perry, of Masterton, and Mr Wyhourne, of Waverley, were the most successful exhibitors in Lincoins, each win"ing the champion ribbons. Mr Short, of Waituna, scooped the pool in Romney Marsh, winning nearly every class and the champion ribbons. Mr R. Bremer secured the championship in English Leicester rams and Messrs Slack Bros, in ewe 3.

In Border Leicesters, MraOrmonl, of Hawke's Bay, scooped the pool and Messrs S. R. Lancaster and Ellis Bros, came out top in South - downs.

A fine lot of norses were shown. Mr J. H. Williams, of Hastings, won the championship in hacks, and Mr F. J. Scoon the championsnip in harness horses. Mr J. D. Mitchell, of Manaia, gained the championship in draught sires, with Here-I-Go, and Mr F Short the championship in draught mares. Mrs Ormond wan successful in the younger heavy classes. Mr G. F. Moore's Conqueror was the champion thoroughbred stallion.

Cattle were strongest in Jerseys, Herefords, Ayrshires, and Shorthorns. In the latter Mr A. W. Williams exhibited the champion bull and cow. In Heretords Mr G. Wheeler won the championship in bulls, and Mr G. F. Moore the championship in cows. In Ayrshires Mr W. P. Harre'secured the championship in bulls. Mr G. F. Moore scooped the pool in fat cattle. The Lady Hunters' Competition was won by Mr H. E. Hunt's Corroboree, and ihe Steeplechase was won by Mr Noel Wilson's Lovell, with Pickpocket second.
