Wednetiday. The usual stock sales will not be held on Tuesday next owing to the King's Birthday falling on that day, but the cattle fair held by Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd., on the folio ving Thursday at the Mangahao promises to be wellattended. Already the large number of 1,620 head have been entered, and it is quite probable that close 0n°2,000 head will be offered by that firm on the 11th. Pahiatua residents are reminded that the special (rain for the Palmeraton Show on Friday morninc, will leave the Pahiatua railway station at 8.35 o'clock. Mr C. R. Mitchell, who has been seriously ill for some time past, is now progressing very favourably. I understand that Mr P. E. Debreceny will wield the hammer for P. E. Debreceny and Co. on Saturday next, at the "Mart" sales. Individual supplies at some of the local dairy factories this season are very large, and are daily increasing. At the Ballance Dairy Company's butter factury at Konini, Mr Thos. Quirk Is now telivering over 3,0001bs of milk daily, and at the same Company's creamery at Hukanui Mr Dougherty is the largest supplier with a tally of 2,4001bs daily. At the Rexdale Cheese Factory at Mangamaire, Mr J. G. Brechin, heads the list with a HUIj over 2,0001bs per day. The local horse Tyrannic was railed from Mastetton this morning to Wellington, and will be shipped to Christchurch to-night t.i fulfil his engagements at the Cup meeting. Mr W. Singleton is in charge.
