THE LORDS' AMENDMENTS

In the House of Commons the Hon. John Burns, President of the Local Government Board, accepted the bulk of the Lords' amendments tu the Town Planning Bill, but secured the rejection of some which he regarded as destructive, including the changes of procedure where it is intended to compulsorily purchase land. Another amendment was dis-> agreed with as a breach of privilege on the speaker's ruling.
