A fire early this morning gutted two-storey premises owned by Mr luue, and occupied by M'Pherson, tailor. The brigade, by good work, saved Ellerbeck's studio adjoining, the premises suffering damage to tho extent of only £SO by smoke. Innes't) building waa insured for £BOO in the Queensland Office, M'Pherson's stock tor £2OO in the Standard, and £IOO in the Alliance. GREYMOUTH, November 1.

A fire this morning completely gutted a shop owned by Mrs Foot, of Wairoa, and occupied by Eastgate, fruiterer. The adjoining premises of Holmes, painter, were damaged, the upper storey suffering principally.
