DR COOKS' STATEVIENIS
DENIED BY GUIDES. Received November 1, 8.55 a.m. NEW YORK, October 31. At a meeting in Montana, the northernmost of America's Rocky Mountain States, two guides were dramatically confronted with Dr F. A : Cook, the Arctic explorer, and declared that he never ascended Mount M'Kinley, as h 3 claimed to have done. After many nours' wrangling, the meeting expressed confidence in the guides'etatements.
