BUILDERS' CONFERENCE.
CONCILIATION AND ARBITRATION, CONDEMNATORY MOTIONS. A NEW ZEALANDER IN DEFENCE. Received October 22, 10.30 a.m. JSYDNEY, October 22. The Builders' Conference adopted motions declaring that compulsory conciliation and arbitration had failed to settle disputes, and favouring the principle of mutual conciliation, with equal presentation for both eides. Mr Bennett, of N'hw Zealand, recorded his opprsition to the first motion. He said the Conciliation Boards had settled a number of disputes in I New Zealand. Received October 23, 1.5 a.m. SYDNEY, October *22. Tfre Builders' Conference adopted resolutions in favour of a builders' insurance company; also uniform articles of agreement and conditions of contract.
