FATAL FIRE.

MAN BURNED TO DEATH. By Telegraph—Press Association. HAWERA, October 22. This morning, at 1.30 o'clock, the Commerical Hotel at Normanby, a two storey building of thirteen rooms, was burnt to the ground. Thomas Grictey a labourer, aged 33, was burnt to death. The remains, mere cinders, were found amongst the debris. The hotel was owned by Hill and Co., and the licensee was A. J. Kirnpton. Insurances: £I,OOO on the buildings, and £IOO each on stock and furniture.
