QUESTION OF SELF-GOVERN-MENT. Received October 21, 12 5 p.m. SYDNEY, October 21. Noumean advices state that M. Puget. editor of the "France aus trale"' newspaper, has been elected a member of the Council General, defeating M. Degaud. The election was of peculiar significance, as it gave the people an opportunity of expressing tht.mselves in favour of ihe colony obtaining self-government.
