WEDDING.

MADSEN—KEMPION. A wedding in which considerable interest was taken was celebrated at S. Luke's Church, Grevtown, yesterday, the contracting parties being Mr Alf. Madsen, fourth son of Mr M. C. Madsen, of Masterton, and Miss Pearl Olive Alcestes Kempton, of Greytown. The bride, who was given away by her father, looked handsome in white silk, trimmed with white tucked net and ribbon, and wore the orthodox veil and orange blossoms. Miss Ruby Kempton, sister of the bride, and Miss Annie Bond, cousin of the bride, were bridesmaids, both being dres • aed in pink silk muslin trimmed with creme insertion and ribbon. Mr Henry Madsen, brother of the bridegroom, was best man, and the marriage ceremony was performed by Rev. A. T. B. Page. The bridegroom's present to the bride was a gold watch, and to the bridesmaids gold mounted greenstont brooches. The bride presented the bridegroom with a gold albert. A large number of guests attended the wedding breakfast, held at the residence of the bride's parents. Mr and Mrs Madsen left in the afternoon . for Wellington, en route to Napiar, where the honeymoon is to be spent. The bride's travelling dress was a navy blue tailor-made costume, and she wore a white hat trimmed with white hyacinths.
