PRESIDENTS MEET.
GREAT DEMONSTRATION,
Rece'ved Ortooer 18. 9 a.m NEW YOKK, October 17. The President of Msxico, General D. Porfirio Diaz, crossed the border for th 3 first time during his presidency, and met President Taft at Texas. Mr Taft returned the visit at a Mexican town, El Paso. There were great demonstrations in both towris. General Diaz was attended by 3,000 Mexicans, and Mr Taft by a arge body of United States troops, owing to threats of assassination and an expected Anarchist demonstration.
