From Our Resident Reporter. ~ Saturday. At the weekly parade of the Volunteers last evening, Captyn Skey gave a lecture upon the recent night attack on the Masterton camp at Waingawa, detailing the strategic points and the several conditions of the attack in an interesting manner. Lieutenant Hart gave an address on "Reconnaisance.'' At the stock sale held here yesterday by Mr V. Lj Fairbrother, the following prices were realised: Dairy cows, £4 to £6 17s 6d; springing heifers, £4 to £4 15s; empty cows, £2 10s; fat cows, £4 2s 6d; bulls, £3 Is to £5; 2yr, heifers, £2 1b; weaner pigs, 10s to lis 6d; slips, isa 6d to 16s 6d; brood sows. £2 2s to £2 3s 6d; boa'', £1 10s.
