Received October 15, 0.30 p.m. NEW YORK, October 15. The Peary Arctic Club has issued another statement. Barrills, who accompanied Dr. Cook on his Mt. McKinley expedition, has sworn an affidavit that Dr. Cook was never nearer than 14 miles of the summit;. Barrills affirms that he doctored his diary at Dr. Cook'e request. Miller, the photographer of the party, alleges that the photographs were faked. The men quarrelled with Dr. Cook because Dr. Cook had not paid them.
