The sum of £6„119 was invested on the totalisator as compared with £6,732. on the same day last year, a decrease of £613, but 13> bookmakers' fees amounted to £lB2 10s, Results:— Greenmeadows Hack Hurdles, If mile..—Paisano„ 10.0, 1; Erl King, 9.6, 2:; Waipunehu, 10.6, 3. Also started—Whimper, and Marytrium. Won by ten lengths. Time, Smin 17 2-seec. Trial Hade, 6 furlongs.—Parable, 8.10,. 1; Mayflower, 9.0, 2; Claughton„ 8.10, 3. Also started—Bonze 1, Retort,.
