I For the second day of its spring • meeting the Caulfield Club was ■ favoured with beautiful spring weaI ther. Results : Hurdle Race.—Corntax, 10.7, 1; j King's Ransom, 9.9, 2; Silvery I Port, 10.1, 3. Five others started. Won by one and a-quarter lengths. ! Time, 3min 52sece, Hursery Handicap.—Bambra, 7.4, 1; Terniga, 7.5, 2; Maletta, 7,3, 3 Six others started. Won by a neck. Time, 49$ sec. Eclipse Stakes.—Alawa, 9.0, 1: Kyeadgerie. 8.8, 2; Parsee, 9.0; 3. Also started—lolaire. Pink-'un, Pendil, Nushka, Golden Slipper, Waipuna r Noble, Ungarie, Santos, Sperry, Vivacious. At the mile post Pink-'un led from Sperry, Vivacious, Waipuna and lohire. with Alawa in the middle of the field. Pink-'un continued to increase bis lead, and Viva-1 cious moved up into second place, Alawa bting sixth, commenced to move up, and half a mile from home held second place, with loJaire and Parsee close up. Alawa took charge on approaching the turn, and soon led by two lengths trom Parsee and Kyeadgerie, who was lying third. Alawa finished very fast, and won by two and a-half lengths.
