METEOROLOGICAL.
By Telegraph—Press Association. WELLINGTON, October 12. The following is the Rev. D. C. Bates' summary and forecast:—Moderate to strong westerly winds have prevailed north of Kawhia and Castkpoint, with cloudy weather, but elsewhere mostly high westerly winds, and rain, have been experienced. The barometer has remained low and unsteady in the extreme South, but has fallen slowly else where. The present indications are for unsettled and cloudy weather generally, probably colder and showery in most parts, strong N.W. winds prevailing over the North I?land, and S. W. elsewhere, and changing tn southerly everywhere shortly, with a rising barometer.
