TE WHARAU NOTES.
(From a Correspondent.) Pino; Pong has been ail the rage out here this winter. There was a tournament held here last Saturday night between the ICaiwhata and Te Wharau Club, which was won by the Kaiwhata Club by 10 points after o .keenly contested game, 1 hear on good authority that Mr Cotter, the local storekeeper, intends building an up-to-date store and boarding house on one of his sections. Docking is in full swing here now, and the percentages are likely to be fairly^good. The weather here during the last few days has been very windy, and there was a heavy downpour of ram on Tuesday, which has made mattres a bit better. There is great dissatisfaction among the settlers here at the Postal authorities not granting them the triweekly mail service from Masterton, for which they petitioned tor.
