PALMERSTON NORTH.

The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co.- Ltd., and Dalgety and Co., Ltd., Palmerston North, wish to draw the. special attention of all cattle buyers to the' large and important cattle fair, which they are holding on account Mr R A. McKenize, on Wednesday next, , the 13th inst. Included in the 2,8U0 head to be yarded there are 1,100 3, 4 and 5 year Polled Angus and Shorthorn bullocks, and these will be offered in lots to suit purchasers. It is generally admitted that good quality cattia with any age sre ext'tplionally scarce this season, and they strongly recommend buyers of bullocks., to take advantage of this opportunity, and secure well-bred,, well grown cattl3 for the fattening paddocks. Young steers tothe number of 710 will be offered in lots and these are Polled and Shorthorns, and all one ear-mark. To those in search» of 12 to 15 month? cattle, this sale offers almost the only opportunity of buying young steers, of this class and they ale for sale absolutely without reserve. In the female class 180 12 to 15 month heifers all one ear-mark will aleo be sold without reserve. In the 250 Polled Angui and Shorthorn empty and apeyed fat and forward cows and heifers, these will, be from 80 to 100.bead of prime. beef, and these will be vpjy suitable for butchers for present trade. A number of Shorthorn and Red Polled Angus bulls bred by Mr F. Armstrong, Akitio,. will be offered at the end of the sale, j and buyers of these breeds of cattle will have something choice to select from. Particular attention is drawn' to the fact that all the young cattle and all the cows and heifers are to be sold absolutely without reserve, and in other lots, it should be to buyers' advantage to attend. Mr It. A. Mc~ Kenzie was widely complimented on the manner in which he placed his cattle before the public at his last year's sale, and it can tie stated with confidence that such will again, be the case, and that the cattle will be shown in even better condition. The date ot the sale is Wednesday, October 13th, at 12 noon.
