The Board of Trade Labour Department's jreport shows that a sttady downward movement of wages,began early in 1908. During that year the wages of 930,000 work-people were reduced and the wages of 1,091,586 were reduced in the first six months of 1909 entailing a reduction in wages of £67,744 weekly.
