Received October 8, 8.5 a.m. LONDON, October 7 The Birmingham Stipendiary Magistrate refused to grant a summons against Mr Herbert Gladstone, Home Secretary, and the governor and doctor of Winson Green Prison, on a charge of assaulting Miss Ainsworth while under detention.
