HASTINGS RACES. By Telegraph—Press Association. HASTINGS, October 7. The second dav of the Hawke's Bay Jockey Clubs spring meeting was held to-day, in glorious weather. The totalisator investments amounted to £6,107, making £12,099 for the two days, as compared with £13,818 last year. Nine bookmakers were on the ground. Results:— Mangapapa Hack Hurdles, one mile and ahalf.—Waipunehu 9.11, 1; Martynum 9.11, 2; Nadine 9.6, 3. Also started—Haurangi, Burton. Won by four lengths. Time, 2min 40aec. Won by three lengths. Time, 49 3-ssec. Spring Handicap, one mile and a quarter.—Sandatream 8.0, 1; Downfall 8 13, 2; Diamond Star 6.10, 3. Also started —Bridge and Mysticism. Won by three lengths.
