APPLICATION TO INDIA APPROVED. Received October 4, 9.5 a.m. CALCUTTA, October 3. The official announcement that Lord Secretary of State for India, has sanctioned the application of the Imperial General Staff Scheme- to the Indian Army is hailed with much approval at Simla. Lord Kitchener is a consistently warm supporter of the scheme.
