Received October 1, 10.20 a.m. NORFuLK ISLAND, Oct. 1. The whaling season is in progress Two were caught off the island yesterday. While one of the whales was being hauledj alongside, a bomb, which it was thought had exploded in the whale, burst in the gun, injuring the boat-steerer, a man named McCov.

The whale sank, and was lost.
