BIG FIRE AT DENNISTON.

SEVERAL BUILDINGS DESTROYED.

By Telegraph—Press Association. WESTPORT, September 29. There was a big fire at Denniston early this morning, the Denniston Hotel, (a large-building) four shops, two dwellings, Ciub and Library (large and well fitted) being totally destroyed. Practically all the contents of a couple of other buildings were damaged. A brick chimney fell on the Cooperative store, smashing a wall and doing great damage to the stock. The fire originated in the Denniston Hotel. The losses are severe.
