MUSICAL EXAMINATIONS.
ST. BRIDE'S CONVENT. The Musical Examinations conducted by Mr St George, as examiner for Trinity College, Lundon, took place on Monday and Tuesday, at St. Bride's Convent. The following are the results:— Examination for Diploma of Teacher. Phyllis Hanify, piano 83, honours; Vera Edwards, singing 81, honours. In connection with this examination the theoretical part has yet to be done by those young ladies who have been so successful in the practical part, Pupils' Examination. Senior Division. —Coralie Smythson 86, honours; Ruby Jury 81, honours; Alma Fuller 74, pass; Katie Holloway 69, pass; Olive Isakson 69, pass. Intermediate Division. -—Dorothy Fowler 84, honours; Mary O'Neill 76. violin, pass; Vera Edwards 70, piano; Eva Lenz64; Elsie Boyd 63; Dorothy Varnham 63; Effie Wall 62. Junior Division. —Olive Pryor 81. honours, piano; Phyllis Hanify 79, pass, violin; Rita Page 74, pass, violin; Kita Hodgins 72, pass, singing; Katie Nelson 71, pass, piano; Muriel Welch 66 pass singing; May ( Brooks 63, pass, piano; Nellie Collerton 61, pass, piano; Thomas Harding 60, pass piano. j Preparatory Division. —Mildred Shaw 69, pass, piano; Olive Hood 66, pass, singing. j The Examiner expressed himself as greatly pleased with the method ot teaching, adopted at St. Bride's, ' Convent, and also with the piano used, which was regulated and tuned by Mr A. B. Wallace. Mr St. George kindly gave a recital last evening at the Convent, which was very much enjoyed by the visitors, Nuns, and pupils.
