RE-INSURANCES GOING UP.

LONDON, September 24

The ship Clan Macphenon, hound from Newcastle, has been ra insured at 60 guineas per cent.

The Clan Macph?rson left Newcastle, New South Wales, on 24th June last for Valparaiso, with 2.485 tons of coal shipped by the Caledonian Coal Company. She is an iron ship of 1,680 tons, built in 1881 at Greenock, and classed 100 Al at Lloyd's She is 260 ft sin long, 38ft 2in. broad, and 23ft 2in deep. Her commander is Captain J. H. Price.
