To-morrow evening Mr J. C. Wil-
\ f , liaiDson's premier dramatic organisa • %• tion will present the play bv B. M. Dixand E. G. Sutherland, entitled "The Breed of the Treshams," for the first time here. "The Breed of the Treßhams" is said to be a stirring play dealing with the turbulent era which prefaced the dominance of Oliver Cromwell The plot rests upon the treachery of certain officers of the King's army, who finding that Charles's power is weakening, treasonably negotiate with the Roundhead leaders with the object of permitting the fortified town of Favorsham to be captured by the rebels. Mr Julius Knight is said to
give a splendid preformance of "Rereßby"—"The Rat." The part 'A allowed to be an exceedingly difficult on to play, portraying as it does a reckless man of tarnished houor, a man of keen wit and phenomenal courage, a man capable of "-"doing grand things, yet willing to sell his sword to the highest bidder.
