RECRUDESCENCE IN RUSSIA. NUMBERS OF JEWS KILLED. (Jnited Press Association—By Electric Teiegraph Copyright. Received September 23 ; 8.20 a.m. ST. PETERSBURG, Sept. 22. Reactionaries and hooligans pillaged the Jews' quarters at Kieff, in South-western Russia, killed twentynine Jews, and wounding one hundred and fifty seriously and one thousand slightly. The Jews killed three of their assailants and wounded eighteen in self-defence. The police did not interfere during the attack which lasted seventytwo hours. Two Jewish lads were thrown into bonfires. The Governor only summoned the troops m response to the urgent en ■ treaties of a Jewish deputation. The outbreak was quelled in a few hours.
